The Vice Chancellor of University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode Adebowale, has disclosed that a total of 11,912 candidates applied to study various undergraduate degree programmes in the institution.
Adebowale noted that the candidates applied for various programmes ahead of the 2024/2025 academic session.
He added that the candidates attended the post Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) tests conducted by the institution.
Adebowale made these declarations via a statement made available to DAILY POST on Saturday.
He said that the tests commenced on Thursday.
Adebowale noted that he led other principal officers of the institution to monitor the exercise.
“I led other principal officers of the university to ensure the success of the exercise.
“Candidates and their parents had arrived at the venue as early as 6.00 a.m. and the Admissions Committee had arranged chairs and canopies for their convenience.
“11,912 candidates. Candidates had earlier been advised to visit the UI Admissions Portal to print their photo-cards, which bear their date of examination, time, and venue.”
