1,540 Pioneer Students Matriculate at Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies, Iragbiji in Osun State

A total of 1,540 pioneer students have commenced their academic programmes at the Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies, Iragbiji (FUADSI) following the institution’s first-ever matriculation ceremony held in Iragbiji, Osun State.


The ceremony represents a significant milestone for the newly established federal university, which was created to strengthen agricultural education, innovation, and research in Nigeria.


At the event, university management formally admitted the new students into different academic programmes spanning agriculture, technology, and development-related disciplines.


Officials of the institution noted that the university is committed to producing graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable agriculture, food security, and rural development across the country.


The maiden matriculation attracted dignitaries from the education sector, community leaders, and government representatives, many of whom described the development as an important step toward improving agricultural capacity and national growth.
