59 BAG FIRST CLASS AS UNIOSUN GRADUATES 2,409 STUDENTS

The Vice-Chancellor of the Osun State University (UNIOSUN), Prof. Odunayo Clement Adebooye on Tuesday hinted that, 59 Students of the institution bagged first class with (2.75) per cent, out of 2,409 students of the Institution that would be graduating for this year in the university.

According to him, a total of 2,409 Degrees and Diplomas will be awarded at the ceremony this year, which comprises of First Degrees with about 2,145, while Postgraduate Diploma stood at 10, Master Degrees 214, Doctoral Degrees 40, making total number of 2,409 graduates.

The Vice-Chancellor who revealed these at a press conference held at the conference hall of the university to herald the 14th convocation ceremonies of the university, stated that the 14th convocation ceremonies of the citadel of learning is scheduled between Friday, 13th to Saturday 21st Of September, 2024.In the breakdown of the graduating students of the various degrees and diplomas in terms of class of degrees given by Professor Adebooye, the academic don, explained that 673 bagged Second Class Upper Division with (31.38%) while Second Class Lower Division stood at 1,109 with (51.56%) and Third Class 304 with (14.17%).Adebooye who gave kudos to all members of the University community for their contributions that led to the milestone, expressed that, _in togetherness, we will continue to elevate Osun State University to greater heights”
