COMMENCEMENT OF 2024/2025 ACADEMIC SESSION: VICE-CHANCELLOR’S MESSAGE

My dear world-class students,

It is with utmost delight that I extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you as we commence the 2024/2025 academic session today, Monday, 18th November 2024. I am particularly pleased to congratulate our newly admitted students and to welcome you into the vibrant community of our great university. Today marks the beginning of a life-defining journey, and we are thrilled to have you in our university.

I equally extend a warm welcome back on campus to our returning students. Hearty congratulations as you resume to new levels today, a testament of the progress you have made in your academic pursuit at our great institution. As a community, your continued success is a source of immense pride for all of us.

As we commence this new session, I urge you to aim for excellence in all you do. Bear in mind that at Lagos State University, nothing but excellence is good enough. Indeed, it is this commitment to excellence, exemplified by the values of hardwork and discipline, that has continued to propel us to being the most sought-after university in Nigeria and one of the nation’s most reputable institutions.

Our goal as a management is to continue to nurture an environment that is conducive for your academic and personal growth. Our faculty and staff shall also continue to work tirelessly to equip you with the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to thrive in a dynamic world.
