JAMB INTRODUCES PROFILED EMAIL SERVICES FOR CANDIDATES WITH LOST SIM CARDS

As you are aware. the Board’s policy states that every candidate subscribing for the yearly
UTME must use a unique mobile number for registration to serve as the candidate’s personal identifier, ensuring that only the candidate can use that number to register and access their JAMB profile. This serves as a security measure to prevent fraudulent registrations and facilitate communication with the candidate throughout the UTME process.

2.  Since the introduction of this policy. the Board has received reports from several candidates on loss of their JAMB registered SIM card and numerous requests for
replacement.

3. AS a result, the Board is issuing this advisory on the conditions that must be adhered to when attending to candidates who have lost their SIM cards and are subscribing for the profiled email services to enable them register for the 2025 UTME/DE.

4. The conditions are outlined below:

i. This service is restricted to only JAMB Professional Registration Centres (PRCs):
ii. Candidates subscribing to this service MUST be physically present at the PRC, where their biometrics will be used for authentication: and

iii. Candidates shall be required to pay a penalty of N5,000.00

5. It is worthy to note that while the Board has considered allowing the use of profiled email to resolve issues related to lost SIM cards for returning candidates only (prior to
2025). as the KMN feature is available for candidates on their GSM. Any abuse of this
process will not be tolerated. The Board will impose stricter penalties if new cases of lost
SIM cards are discovered while utilizing this service.
