UNIVERSITY OF BENIN TEACHING HOSPITAL ANNOUNCES ADMISSION FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

The University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Benin City, Edo State, has officially announced the commencement of its admission process for the 2025/2026 academic session into the Institute of Health Sciences and Technology.

5. Biomedical Engineering Technology – ND (2 years), HND (2 years)

Certificate and Specialised Programmes:

1. Anaesthetic Training Programme – 3 years

2. Dental Surgery Technician – 3 years

3. Mortuary Science, Management and Funeral Services – 1 year

4. Community Health Officers Course – Special: B.Sc (1 year), Regular (2 years)

Entry Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:

A minimum of five credit passes in not more than two sittings in WASSCE, NECO, or GCE O/L. Subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.

Candidates seeking National Diploma (ND) admission must have written the 2025 UTME and obtained a minimum score of 150.

Specific courses like Paramedics and Environmental Health Technology accept Health Sciences in place of Biology.

Biomedical Engineering Technology candidates must have credit passes in Physics, Mathematics, and other relevant science subjects.

Higher National Diploma (HND) applicants must hold a National Diploma from an NBTE-accredited programme with a minimum of lower credit and must also possess a current professional license.
