The Kwara State University of Education, Ilorin (KWASUED), will on Friday, December 19, 2025, hold its maiden matriculation ceremony for newly admitted students.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Registrar of the institution, Mohammed Jimada Jibril on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Medinat Folorunso Salman.
The matriculation ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Main Auditorium of the Kwara State University of Education, Ilorin, by 9:45am.
The event will formally usher in the pioneer set of students of the university and mark a major milestone in the institution’s academic journey.
Dignitaries expected at the ceremony include the Visitor to the university and Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, who is also the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum.
Others are the Chancellor of the university, the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Ismail Yahya Alebiosu; the Pro-Chancellor, Prof. Shuaib Oba Abdulraheem; and the Kwara State Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo-Kawu.
Members of the public, parents, guardians and other education stakeholders have been invited to attend the event.
