Professor Clement Adebooye, Vice-Chancellor of the Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has announced that 89 graduates received first-class honours.
The vice chancellor made this known in a press conference to announce the 12th and 13th convocation ceremony of the institution.
He said that in total, 4,210 degrees and diplomas will be awarded during the ceremonies, with 1,326 receiving second-class upper, 1,818 with second-class lower, 470 with third-class, and five other students had passing grades.
Adebooye also noted that the ongoing construction of N34billon Teaching Hospital donated by one of the richest women in Africa and Chancellor of the institution, Folorunsho Alakija, is now 97% complete.
The construction of the hospital began on November 22, 2018.
He said: “On the construction of Teaching Hospital by Dr Alakija, the project is 97 percent complete. But on the convocation day, our Chancellor will disclose the day when the project will be commissioned. Efforts are on top gear over the project.”
