Mr. Johnson Adebiyi has urged candidates to be aware of the necessary qualifications required for the ongoing 2025 Direct Entry (DE) registration.
During a meeting with Desk Officers on Monday, March 10, 2025, Adebiyi presented the guidelines for the 2025 DE registration at the State Office in Gombe. He emphasized the importance of adhering strictly to all directives regarding the registration exercise.
According to Adebiyi, all prospective candidates must provide details of their previously obtained A’level q u a l i f i c a t i o n s , i n c l u d i n g registration/matriculation numbers, courses studied, qualifications obtained, grades received, and the names of the awarding institutions.
He further noted that for statements of result, only those not older than three years will be accepted for DE registration.
Adebiyi advised registration officers to be diligent in their interactions with candidates and to consult relevant advisories whenever they are uncertain.
Additionally, he highlighted that the registration exercise, which commenced on March 12, 2025, will close on a date to be announced in A p r i l 2 0 2 5 .
He encouraged prospective candidates to take full advantage of this registration period, stating, “Similar to the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), there will be no extension after the closure of this exercise.”
