Dear All,
This is to inform the University Community that the Federal Government has declared Tuesday, July 15, 2025 as a public holiday to honour the late former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, who passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
In view of this, all staff are directed to observe the holiday. Examinations scheduled to hold tomorrow are hereby shifted. Another date will be communicated.
It is important to note that staff on essential services are to be at their duty posts, while the University will consider giving days off as appropriate.
The University Management enjoins all members of the University Community to use the period to reflect and pray for the repose of the soul of the deceased statesman and the continued peace and unity of our nation.
