In a recent update from the Registrar’s Office, Kwara State University (KWASU) has officially launched its automated online final year clearance portal for the 2024/2025 graduating students across all academic programmes. This marks a significant step toward a seamless graduation process for thousands of final year students. According to a circular signed by Dr. Kikelomo W. Sallee, the Registrar, students who are yet to begin the clearance process must visit the CIITR Unit to provide the required information on or before Friday, August 1, 2025. The clearance process is structured for transparency and efficiency, allowing students to track the status of each verification component online. However, students flagged by any unit, department, or office must report physically to resolve the issue.

Step-by-Step Clearance Procedure:
1. Login to your student portal.
2. Click on “Final Screening” in the menu.
3. Proceed to O’Level Verification using the correct exam type (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, etc.) and credentials.
4. Complete the Student Clearance Section: A’Level or JAMB verification (depending on entry mode). State of origin verification (JAMB/NIN records). Payment verification (all fees paid must be confirmed).
5. Upload Documents – Required only for Direct Entry (DE) students (Diploma, IJMB, JUPEP, HND, etc.).
6. Once all verifications are passed, the portal status will reflect as “Cleared”. If not, students will be directed to the area(s) of concern. The Registrar urges all students to treat this process with urgency and complete all required steps before the deadline.
