The National Leadership of the Union has declared a two-week warning strike, and all branches have been directed to withdraw their services with effect from 12.01am of Monday, 13th October, 2025. The strike is to press home our demands, which include the conclusion of the renegotiation of the 2009 FGN/ASUU Agreement by the Yayale Ahmed’s committee as well as other unresolved issues.
Consequent upon this declaration, ASUU-OAU at its Congress held on Monday, 13 October, 2025 resolved to align itself with the directives of the National Leadership by participating actively in the total and comprehensive strike action. There should not be classes, no participation in any accreditation excise, conference, official meetings and public lectures.
