UNILORIN ANNOUNCES HARMATTAN SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS

This is to inform the University Community that the 2025/2026 Harmattan Semester Examinations will commence on Monday, 26th January, 2026, and conclude on Friday, 13th February, 2026.

Students are strongly reminded that the rules and regulations governing the conduct of examinations must be strictly adhered to in order to ensure a smooth and hitch-free examination process.

Examination Rules and Regulations: Students are advised to familiarize themselves with the Rules and Regulations/Code of Conduct on Examination Malpractices as outlined in the University Academic Programmes (Undergraduate and Sub-Degree) on the University of Ilorin website and the Students’ Information and Regulations Handbook (pages 16-20) reproduced below, that:

Students Shall:

(a) Not introduce or attempt to introduce into the examination venue handbags, books, notes, mobile phones, electronic devices, instruments (i-pad/i-pod, Bluetooth, flash drives, and any storage devices) or other materials or aids that are not permitted; (b) not to enter any examination venue with any inscriptions on any part of the dress or body whether or not such inscription bears relevance to the examination;

(c) not pass or attempt to pass any information from one person to another during an examination;

(d) neither act in collusion with any other candidate(s) or person(s), nor copy, nor attempt to copy from another candidate, nor engage in any similar activity;

(e) only use their matriculation number for examination (no names should be written);

(f) not be allowed to leave an examination venue until 50% of the time allocated for that particular paper has expired;

(g) not write any University examination on behalf of any other student, nor other people write any University examination for them;

(h) not to be in possession of incriminating material(s) either used or not at the examination or involved in any other serious examination misconduct including impersonation before, during or after an examination; and

(i) in case of CBT Examinations, students must be orderly and abide by the rules or guidelines prevailing at the centre.

In addition, students should note the following:

(i) Required Documents for Entry into Examination Halls:

(a) Original, duly signed coloured registration forms (photocopies or altered forms without proper endorsement by the Level Adviser and Faculty Officer will not be accepted). (b) Valid University Identity Card (Students who have misplaced their ID cards are advised to request replacements urgently).

(ii) Password Recovery for CBT Exams:

(a) Students who have forgotten their portal passwords should recover them in advance via the University of Ilorin website.

(b) Passwords can be recovered through their registered email by clicking on the “Forgot Password” option.

All students are encouraged to comply fully with these guidelines to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations.
