KWASU MATRICULATES 14,290 NEWLY-ADMITTED STUDENTS

Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has matriculated a total of 14,290 students admitted for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The matriculation ceremony, held at the university’s main campus in Malete, attracted top government officials, members of the university’s Governing Council, principal officers, parents, guardians, and well-wishers, who gathered to witness the formal induction of the new students into the academic community.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Alade Jimoh congratulated the students on securing admission into KWASU, describing it as a privilege earned through merit and determination. He reminded them that matriculation signifies their formal acceptance of the university’s rules and regulations and charged them to uphold the values of discipline, integrity, and excellence.

Professor Shaykh-Luqman Alade Jimoh emphasized that KWASU remains committed to producing graduates who are not only academically sound but also entrepreneurial, innovative, and socially responsible. He urged the students to take advantage of the university’s academic programmes, research opportunities, and skills acquisition initiatives designed to prepare them for global competitiveness.

He further encouraged them to make effective use of the university’s library, laboratories, and digital learning platforms, while maintaining a healthy balance between academics and extracurricular activities.
