KWASU RELEASES 2025/26 ADJUSTED ACADEMIC CALENDAR

The management of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has approved a revised academic calendar outlining key activities for the conclusion of the Harmattan Semester and the commencement of the Rain Semester for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to the adjusted calendar, the continuation of the Harmattan Semester examinations is scheduled to run from Tuesday, March 24 to Thursday, March 26, 2026. This will be followed by a structured result processing phase beginning with departmental consideration on March 30, and faculty-level review on April 2.

The university’s Board of College Studies (BCoS) is expected to deliberate on the results between April 8 and April 14, while final approval and official release of results by the Senate is slated for April 22, 2026.

In a swift transition to the Rain Semester, lectures are set to commence on April 6, 2026. Students will have a two-week window, from April 6 to April 20, to complete course registration adjustments through the add-and-drop process.

The calendar also provides for a mid-semester break from May 28 to May 29, offering students a brief respite before academic activities resume fully. Continuous Assessment (CA) week and make-up examinations are scheduled for June 1 to June 6. Lectures for the semester will conclude on June 27, followed by a revision week from June 29 to July 4.

The main semester examinations are to be conducted over a four-week period, from July 6 to August 1, 2026.

Subsequently, the result consideration process will mirror that of the Harmattan Semester, beginning with departmental reviews on August 12 and faculty deliberations on August 14. The BCoS will convene from August 17 to August 22, with final Senate approval and release of results expected on August 31, 2026.

The revised schedule underscores the institution’s commitment to maintaining academic stability and ensuring a seamless progression of activities despite earlier disruptions. Students and staff have been advised to adhere strictly to the outlined dates to facilitate a smooth academic session.
