The Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of the University Senate, has approved a one-week extension of the 2025/2026 Academic Session Second Semester Academic Calendar.
This extension is to allow for the completion of outstanding academic activities and proper coordination of academic and administrative processes for the Second Semester.
Consequently, the revised Second Semester schedule is as follows:
- Resumption, Registration and Lectures for New and Returning Students shall now run from Monday, 2nd March to Friday, 29th May 2026 (13 weeks)
- Second Semester Examinations shall take place from Monday, 1st June to Friday, 26th June 2026 (4 weeks).
- Grading and Uploading of Results shall be carried out from Monday, 29th June to Friday, 10th July 2026 (2 weeks).
- Departmental and Faculty Consideration, Uploading of Corrections and ICT Processing of Results shall be held from Monday, 13th July to Friday, 17th July 2026 (1 week).
- Collation of Results and Senate Meeting for Consideration and Approval of Results shall take place from Monday, 20th July to Friday, 24th July 2026 (1 week).
- End-of-Session Break shall commence on Monday, 27th July 2026.
NOTE: The Second Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Session has been extended by one (1) week.
The Sessional Break shall now run from Monday, 27th July to Friday, 23rd October 2026.
The 2026/2027 Academic Session shall commence on Monday, 26th October 2026.
All students, staff, and members of the University community are hereby advised to take note of the above adjustments and comply accordingly.
