The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has extended the registration period for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (D.E.) Screening Exercise.

According to a statement issued by the University’s Registrar, the online registration portal will now remain open until Friday, 31st July, 2026, giving eligible candidates additional time to complete their applications.
The University stated that candidates who scored 180 and above in the 2026 UTME and selected FUTA as their first-choice institution, as well as qualified Direct Entry applicants, are eligible to participate in the screening exercise.
FUTA also announced that admission into the MBBS programme, which was previously suspended, has now been reinstated, making qualified candidates eligible to apply.
Applicants must possess at least five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings. Candidates are also required to ensure that their O’Level results are uploaded on JAMB CAPS on or before Friday, 31st July, 2026, as failure to do so will make them ineligible for admission.
The University further reminded applicants that they must be at least 16 years old by 30th September, 2026 to be considered for admission.
Eligible candidates are advised to complete their registration before the new deadline, as only screened applicants will be considered for admission.
