The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially concluded the 2026 Direct Entry (DE) registration exercise, bringing an end to a registration period that witnessed several deadline extensions to accommodate eligible applicants.

The registration exercise, which was initially scheduled to close earlier, was extended on multiple occasions before finally ending, providing additional opportunities for candidates seeking admission into Nigerian universities through the Direct Entry admission mode.
With the closure of registration, JAMB is expected to proceed with the next phases of the 2026 admission exercise, including the processing of Direct Entry applications and the transmission of candidates’ details to their respective institutions for further admission consideration.
Candidates who successfully completed their registration are advised to regularly monitor their JAMB profiles and the admission portals of their chosen institutions for updates on screening exercises, document verification, and admission procedures.
Prospective Direct Entry applicants are also encouraged to ensure that all required academic credentials have been properly uploaded and verified to facilitate a seamless admission process.
