UNIOSUN ANNOUNCES 16TH CONVOCATION CEREMONIES, SETS SEPTEMBER 18–24 FOR EVENTS
The Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has announced the schedule for its 16th Convocation Ceremonies, with activities set to take place from Friday, September 18, to Thursday, September 24, 2026.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye, made the announcement on behalf of the University Council, Senate and Congregation, inviting members of the public and the university community to the week-long ceremonies.
The convocation programme will feature a series of pre-convocation and main convocation activities across the university’s campuses in Osogbo.
According to the schedule, activities will commence on Friday, September 18, with a press conference, Alumni Day Lecture, orientation programme, scholarship awards, a special Jumat service and a convocation play.
Other activities include a Special Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, September 20, followed by induction ceremonies for graduates in various disciplines on Monday, September 21.
The main convocation events will begin on Tuesday, September 22, with the conferment of degrees and presentation of awards to graduates from different colleges. Further convocation and award ceremonies will hold on Wednesday, September 23, while the programme will conclude on Thursday, September 24, with a convocation lecture, postgraduate awards and the closing ceremony.
The university stated that the ceremonies will hold at designated venues within the UNIOSUN Main Campus, Osogbo, as indicated in the official programme.
The 16th Convocation Ceremonies are for the first and higher degrees of the university.
