Further to our Special Bulletin Volume 18 No. 71, dated Wednesday 19th August, 2026 on the above subject, the University Management invites all the UTME and Direct Entry candidates to note the following:
Sequel to the release of the 2026 NECO Results, candidates who did not register for Post-UTME Screening are advised to visit the University Portal at https://portal.abu.edu.ng/forms/putme to do the registration with immediate effect. Similarly, those who did not complete their registration due to ‘O’ Level deficiency(ies) can also go and complete the registration as the second phase of the screening will commence from Monday, 28th September, 2026 to Wednesday, 30th September, 2026, after which, admission process will be initiated.
The attention of candidates is hereby drawn to the fact that the registration is mandatory for both UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates. Failure to register will mean that a candidate will not be admitted into any programme of the University. In addition, UTME Candidates’ ‘O’ Level results will be assessed as part of the candidates’ scores for admission into their programmes of choice. Therefore, candidates are requested to ensure that they upload clear copy(ies) of their results and input correct grades.
iii. UTME Candidates who have previously registered and were successfully screened before Thursday, 10th September, 2026 (First Batch) can check their aggregate results on the University Portal. However, the results of those who registered after 10th September, 2026 and those who are currently registering will be released as Second Batch in due course.
iv. All candidates are advised to check their JAMB CAPS/E-Facility to ensure that their ‘O’ Level results are uploaded because their admission cannot be processed on the JAMB CAPS without the upload.
