UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN (UI) MATRICULATES 3,792 STUDENTS FOR 2022/23 SESSION

The Vice-Chancellor of University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode Adebowale, has disclosed that the newly-admitted students of the university have no excuse not to read and make good grades.

Adebowale made this disclosure during the matriculation ceremony for the newly-admitted students of the institution on Tuesday.

A total of 3,792 students were cleared for the 2022/2023 matriculation ceremony spread across various faculties in the institution.

The students were led in the matriculation oath by the Registrar of the institution, Mr Ganiyu Saliu.

The VC, who spoke through the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic, Professor Aderonke Mojisola Baiyeroju, noted that the university is a place of freedom, but the freedom is guided by rules.

He charged the students to manage their newfound freedom responsibly while in the university.
