NOUN ANNOUNCES 13TH CONVOCATION CEREMONY

The 13th Convocation Ceremony of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) is scheduled to hold between April12- 13, 2024, according to an announcement from the Registrar of the university, Mr. Oladipo Ajayi.


The announcement said the ceremony will old both on- site and off-site as those billed to attend the on-site event were urged to be seated before 9am at the university’s
Convocation Arena, Jabi, Abuja.


The Convocation Lecture, which will hold on April 12 by 11AM is to be delivered by the Vice Chancellor, Open University of Tanzania, United Republic of Tanzania, Prof.
Elifas Tozo Bisanda, on the topic: “Is Western Education Still Relevant for Africa?”
The Convocation Ceremony, where the graduands would be awarded various degrees, will hold on April 13 by 10am at the Convocation Arena of the university, the
announcement said.


It added that only first-class graduands, first-degree graduands in the study centres of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), PGD, award winners, masters degrees, doctorates degree graduands and honourary doctorate
degrees are to attend the on-site ceremony at the university headquarters.


The ceremonies will be preceded by an Investiture of His Majesty, Omo N’ Oba N’Edo Uku’ Akpolokpolo Ewuare lII, the Oba of Benin, as Chancellor of the university on Thursday, April 11, 2024 by 12noon at the university’s
Convocation Arena, Jabi, Abuja.
