MANDATORY DRUG SCREENING FOR ALL STUDENTS
In compliance with the directive of the Kwara State Government, fresh students are hereby informed that they are required to undergo a mandatory drug screening. This is to be conducted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
The flag- off of the exercise has been scheduled for Friday, 20th December 2024.
On this day, students from the Faculty of Law and Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences will be screened,
while on Saturday, 21st December 2024, students from the Faculty of Agriculture will be screened.
Furthermore, the date for the drug screening for other students will be conducted at a date to be announced.
Please note that the venues for the screening are:
1.Malete Campus, Mini Convocation Arena (CVA) with ten (10) screening points.
2. Ilorin NDLEA Head Office, Akerebiata,
The cost of the drug test is seven thousand naira (N7,000), payable through the university student portal at the beginning of the second semester.
Upon successful completion of the screening, students will be issued a Certificate of Integrity, which will be one of the requirements for eligibility to write university examinations.
Kindly note that students who test positive will not be subjected to punitive measures. Rather, they will be offered free counselling/ rehabilitation services by the NDLEA.
All students are hereby advised to comply fully with this directive.
