This is to inform the University Community that, the Kwara State Government has declared Monday July 8, 2024 as public holiday to commemorate the first day of the Islamic lunar calendar (Muharram 1446).
In view of this, all staff are directed to observe the holiday. Please note that those on essential services are to be at their duty posts, while the University will consider giving days off as appropriate.
The University Management enjoins all members of the University Community, especially our Muslim brothers and sisters, to use this period to reflect on, and imbibe the virtues of tolerance and mutual respect.
