This is to inform all the 2023/2024 graduates of the Kwara State University, Malete, that the 12th Convocation Ceremony for the award of first and postgraduate degrees and presentation of prizes will be held on Saturday 14thDecember 2024.
Details of the activities are as follows:

(a) VICE CHANCELLOR’S PRESS BRIEFING
Venue: Muhammadu Buhari Main Library, KWASU campus Malete
Time: 11.00 a.m.
(b) OFFICIAL OPENING OF EXHIBITION BY UNITS OF THE UNIVERSITY
Venue: Muhammadu Buhari Main Library, KWASU campus Malete
Time: Immediately after the Press Briefing
(c) FOOTBALL MATCH (Academic Staff Vs Non- Teaching Staff)
Venue: University Stadium Complex, Malete
Time: 3.00 p.m.

(a) CONVOCATION LECTURE

(a) CONVOCATION FOR AWARD OF UNDERGRADUATE AND
POSTGRADUATE DEGREES AND PRIZES
Venue: Ultra- Modern Performing Arts Building, KWASU, Malete
Time: 10.00 a.m.
All guests are expected to be seated by 9.00a.m.
BRIEF FOR GRADUANDS
(i) All prospective graduates for the 2023/2024 Academic Session are requested to check their names on the university website:
www.kwasu.edu.ng
(ii) Each graduand shall be allowed only ONE (1) guest. Invitation cards will be issued from Thursday, 12th December 2024 (immediately after the convocation lecture), when academic gowns will be available for collection.
(iii) All prospective graduates are expected to pay the following Charges:
- Undergraduate – N35,000.00 (Thirty Five Thousand Naira) only
for the following items, irrespective of whether or not they attend
the Convocation Ceremony:
(a) Hiring of Academic Gown;
(b) Certificate Scroll;
(c) Alumni fees; and
(d) Certificate; e.t.c. - Postgraduate – N60, 000.00 (Sixty Thousand Naira) only.
iv) Certificate scrolls will be available for collection shortly after the Convocation Ceremony from Faculty Officers on presentation of evidence of payment of appropriate charges and clearance certificates.
(v) Graduands are expected to attend a rehearsal of the academic Procession which will be held at 2.30 pm on Friday, 13th December, 2024, at the Ultra- Modern Performing Arts Building.
(vi) It is compulsory for all graduates who will attend the Convocation Ceremony to participate in the academic process and wear the approved academic gown. Any graduand without an academic gown will not be allowed entry into the Convocation Arena
(vii) Graduands are expected to be formally dressed in full English wear (i.e., suit, shirt, and tie for men and skirt suit / skirt and blouse or gown for ladies) or full national dress.
(viii) Graduands are expected to be on the campus by 7.00 a.m. on Saturday, 16th December, 2023, for the Procession, which will start from the Entrepreneur Buiiding at 8.00 am prompt. Any graduand who comes late will not be allowed to enter the Convocation Arena.
(ix) All hired gowns should be returned by the graduands to their respective faculty officers not later than Friday 20th December, 2024.
Gowns returned after that date will attract a fine of Five Hundred naira (N500.00) only per day.
(x) Graduands should visit the University’s website for details of the mode of payment of convocation charges.
