The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, has announced a free transportation system for students to help alleviate the impact of the fuel subsidy removal, which has led to increased public transportation costs.
The free transportation will commence soon, with student union buses operating once in the morning and twice in the evening.
Prof. Ibiyemi also highlighted other achievements during her tenure, such as a stable academic calendar, new classrooms, hostel construction, accreditation of new programs, and the installation of CCTV cameras.
The university is also working on hybrid learning solutions for crowded lecture rooms and plans to unveil a student-oriented Live App.
