There is palpable excitment at the Lagos State University following news that the university has secured accreditation for all the forty-four (44) courses submitted by the university for the National Universities Commission accreditation exercise held between October and November, 2023.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM made the information known when she received results of the accreditation exercise via a letter from the NUC dated 6th June 2024 signed by Engr Abraham Chundusu for the Executive Secretary.
The result showed that 43 of the 44 courses assessed secured full accreditation with only one course – Computer Science Education, getting interim accreditation.
All the other courses with full accreditation include:

The result translates to about 99%, pass mark, which is another unprecedented record in the university’ recent memory. It also marks another milestone in the achievements of six strategic goals of the current administration, the first of which is the accreditation of courses.
The Vice Chancellor has appreciated the Lagos State Government, under the leadership of Mr. Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Hon. Tolani Sule, members of the Governing Council and all stakeholders in the LASU Project for the success.
