Today, University of Ilorin, Nigeria, did it again by shattering the world record when our own Qudus Owoyemi, a 400-level student of the Department of Statistics, set a world record in fastest five skin fade in 14mins 56secs and 83milliseconds to beat current record of 18 minutes 57 seconds. It is indeed more gratifying that Qudus is a Scholar in the University.

As a University, we are immensely proud of the feat of Qudus and will continue to encourage others to find their passion and pursue it. Before he commenced the competition, I called him and encouraged him to go and beat the world. Thank God, we made it.

We will continue to support lofty ideals that can move the world beyond the frontiers and shuttle to the space.

While congratulating Qudus, we hope others are inspired to also break all ceilings and continue to put our name in gold. Congratulations to us all.
