A. Accessing the Portal
1. To begin, access the student portal via https://student-portal.ui.edu.ng.
2. Use your student institutional email or matric number as the Username.
3. Set your Password as your last name in lowercase.
4. On the top right corner, choose the 2022-2023 session.
5. After logging in, you will be prompted to change your password. Enter the old password, create a new one, confirm it, and click “Update.”
B. Payment Procedure
1. Once logged in to your dashboard, navigate to the left menu and find the Fees section.
2. Click on “My Fees.”
3. The following fees are mandatory for all student categories:
a. Bundled fee or School fee
b. Technology Levy (separate payment)
c. Utility Levy (separate payment)
4. Students of the College of Medicine must pay the Health Professional levy or Laboratory Professional fee, and Veterinary Medicine students must pay the Special DVM levy (separate payments).
5. Check the checkbox next to the fee you’re paying and click “Proceed.”
6. Confirm the accuracy of your payment details.
7. Click “Proceed to Pay.”
8. You’ll be directed to the payment platform.
9. Choose a payment option (card, bank, branch, transfer, remita).
10. Follow the payment instructions based on your chosen option.
C: Payment Confirmation
1. After successful payment, you’ll be redirected to the registration portal.
2. Under “Fees,” select “Transactions” to verify your payment status.
3. If the payment is successful, click the eye icon under “Actions” to view payment details. You can also download a PDF version.
4. An email containing the Remita receipt will be sent to you.
5. If a transaction fails after debiting, click the refresh icon to update the status.
D. Course Registration
1. Visit your department for guidance on course registration.
2. You’ll receive additional information on online registration through email in the upcoming days. Keep an eye on your inbox.
