The University of Ilorin has concluded arrangements to ensure success in the upcoming 2024 accreditation exercise of its programmes.
To this end, the management of the University has commenced the distribution of enabling equipment and resources to the concerned Faculties and Departments.
This was disclosed in a memo dated July 16, 2024 by the Coordinator, Directorate of Procurement, Office of the Vice Chancellor, Mr K. A. Saadu.
Mr Saadu explained that the University took the decision to give each of the Departments due for this year’s accreditation exercise the necessary equipment and resources required to ensure a smooth and successful accreditation process.
He added that the first batch of the distribution and installation of the allocated equipment for the various Faculties and Departments commenced last Wednesday (July 17, 2024).
He encouraged Deans and Heads of Department to ensure that their designated personnel are present to receive the equipment allocated to their respective Faculties/Departments.
Mr Saadu also noted that each of the designated personnel must ensure that all stores documents are appropriately endorsed as he urged all the staff members of the University to accord the visiting accreditation teams necessary support and assistance to ease their tasks.
The Coordinator equally appealed to all Deans and Heads of Departments to convey their concerns and need for additional requirements for the success of the accreditation exercise to the Director of the Academic Planning Unit for quick assistance.
He enjoined all stakeholders to work together and with diligence to ensure that the University preparations for the accreditation exercise are thorough and effective for the University to retain its alluring position as the nation’s most sought-after citadel of learning.
