The West Africa Examinations Council (WAEC) has revealed its final stand on the issue of candidates with seized or withheld results from the conduct of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates, 2023.
The decisions were taken at the 76th meeting of the Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC) of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) which was held from Tuesday, 3rd to Wednesday, 4th October 2023.
According to the exam body, the entire results of candidates proven to have been involved in examination malpractice, which attracts the penalty of Cancellation of Entire Results (CER), will be cancelled.
Similarly, subject results of candidates proven to have been involved in examination malpractice, which attract the penalty of Cancellation of Subject Results (CSR), will also be cancelled.
During the meeting, it was also resolved that the results of candidates exonerated by the Committee would be released without further delay.
