Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, has graduated a total of 2,833 students at its 15th Convocation Ceremony, marking another significant milestone in the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and human capital development.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Lateef Folorunsho Oladimeji, disclosed this during his convocation address, where he presented a detailed breakdown of the graduating students across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
According to the Vice-Chancellor, 2,192 students were awarded undergraduate degrees. Of this number, 76 graduates earned First Class Honours, 1,008 obtained Second Class Upper Division, 996 graduated with Second Class Lower Division, while 112 students received Third Class degrees.
In addition, the University awarded 641 postgraduate degrees, comprising 485 Master’s degrees, 77 Postgraduate Diplomas (PGD), and 79 Doctorate (PhD) degrees.
Professor Oladimeji congratulated the graduands for their perseverance and academic discipline, while also commending parents, guardians, and staff of the University for their support and contributions to the success of the students. He reaffirmed the University’s commitment to producing graduates who are intellectually sound, morally upright, and socially responsible.
The 15th convocation ceremony featured the conferment of degrees, presentation of prizes to outstanding graduates, and other ceremonial activities, drawing dignitaries from academia, government, and the wider society.
