Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, has officially discontinued its Top-Up and Higher National Diploma (HND) Conversion Programme in compliance with directives from the National Universities Commission (NUC).
The institution’s decision follows regulatory guidelines issued by the NUC concerning the operation of conversion and top-up degree programmes in Nigerian universities.
With the discontinuation, the university will no longer admit candidates into the programme, which previously served as an academic pathway for HND holders and other applicants seeking to upgrade their qualifications to bachelor’s degrees.
The university is expected to provide further clarification regarding arrangements for students currently undergoing the programme and any transitional measures that may apply.
