JAMB ANNOUNCES 150 AS UNIVERSITY ADMISSION CUT-OFF MARKS FOR 2026 ADMISSION

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has approved 150 as the minimum admissible cut-off mark for university admissions for the 2026 academic session.

The decision was reached during the ongoing 2026 Admission Policy Meeting held in Abuja, where stakeholders across Nigeria’s tertiary education sector deliberated on admission guidelines and benchmarks for the new admission cycle.

Under the arrangement, no university in the country is expected to admit candidates who scored below 150 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
