Koladaisi University, Ibadan, has received full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for five of its health science programmes: Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Public Health, Human Anatomy, and Human Physiology.

The accreditation approval was communicated in a letter addressed to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adeniyi Olatunbosun (SAN), following the recent accreditation exercise conducted by the NUC across Nigerian universities.
According to a statement issued by the University Registrar, Haruna Adetu, the achievement reflects the institution’s commitment to maintaining high academic standards and delivering quality education in line with national and global best practices.
The NUC, in a letter signed by Abraham Chundusu on behalf of the Executive Secretary, stated that the accreditation exercise was conducted in accordance with Section 10(1) of the Education (National Minimum Standards and Establishment of Institutions) Act.
The Commission granted all five programmes Full Accreditation Status, which is valid for a period of five years. This status signifies that the programmes have met the Commission’s required standards in key areas of academic delivery and institutional capacity.
In its statement, the university described the accreditation as a strong endorsement of its quality faculty, modern learning facilities, effective governance structure, and dedication to academic excellence.
“The full accreditation granted to all the programmes presented by the university is a strong affirmation of the high academic standards, quality faculty, modern facilities, and robust governance structure put in place by the management under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adeniyi Olatunbosun (SAN),” the statement noted.
The university further reiterated its commitment to producing globally competitive graduates equipped with the knowledge, skills, and character required to excel in their chosen professions.
The accreditation is also expected to enhance public confidence in the institution’s ability to provide quality education, particularly in health-related disciplines that are essential to national development.
Before granting approval, NUC accreditation teams evaluated critical areas including curriculum content, academic staffing, laboratory and physical facilities, library resources, governance structure, and student support services.
