The attention of the University Management has been drawn to the concerns expressed by students following the recent circular announcing the discontinuation of payment of tuition fees by installments with effect from the 2026/2027 Academic Session.
Management appreciates the peaceful expression of the students’ concerns and recognizes the prevailing economic realities confronting many students and their parents/guardians. The University remains committed to ensuring that no eligible student is unduly deprived of access to higher education while at the same time maintaining the financial sustainability of the institution.
Consequently, after further consultation with the Governing Council, Management has approved the suspension of the implementation of the new policy. Accordingly, the existing arrangement allowing the payment of tuition fees in installments of 60% in the First Semester and 40% in the Second Semester shall remain in force until further notice.
Students are, however, reminded of their obligation to pay the prescribed fees promptly in accordance with the approved payment schedule. Those with outstanding fees for the 2025/2026 Academic Session are hereby directed to settle all outstanding balances without further delay while the portal will be opened for them to register.
The University appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all students and urges them to remain law-abiding, maintain peace on campus, and concentrate on their academic pursuits.
Management remains open to constructive engagement with all stakeholders in the interest of the continued growth and development of the University.
Thank you
