UNILORIN ISSUES FRESH GUIDELINES AHEAD OF 2025/26 RAIN SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS

The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has formally announced that the 2025/2026 Rain Semester examinations will commence on Monday, June 29, 2026, and conclude on Friday, July 24, 2026, urging students to strictly comply with the institution’s examination regulations.

The directive was contained in an internal memorandum dated June 8, 2026, issued by the Directorate of Academic Support Services, Examinations and Transcripts, and addressed to the university community.

According to the notice, the management emphasized that adherence to the university’s examination rules and code of conduct is essential to ensuring a smooth, orderly, and hitch-free examination process.

Students have been reminded that prohibited items such as handbags, books, notes, mobile phones, electronic gadgets, flash drives, Bluetooth devices, and other unauthorized materials must not be brought into examination venues.

The university also warned students against entering examination halls with inscriptions on their bodies or clothing, exchanging information during examinations, engaging in collusion or impersonation, or possessing incriminating materials.

In addition, students are required to use only their matriculation numbers for identification during examinations, as writing names on answer scripts is prohibited. Students are also not permitted to leave the examination hall until at least 50 per cent of the allotted examination time has elapsed.
