REGISTRATION FOR 2026 UTME/DE SCREENING EXERCISE STARTS FROM MONDAY 6TH JULY, 2026
This is to inform all 2026 UTME/DE T candidates who applied for admission into Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria for the 2026/2027 Academic Session, that they are required to register for the online Screening Exercise from 6 July, 2026.
ELIGIBILITY TO REGISTER FOR THE SCREENING EXERCISE
Only candidates with UTME Score of 180 and above are eligible to register for the Screening Exercise, while Direct Entry Candidates are required only to pay screening fee and register.
To register, candidates are required to visit and login to the ABU portal at https://portal.abu.edu.ng/forms or click on 2026/2027 UTME/DE Screening Registration on the Ahmadu Bello University website https://abu.edu.ng. Candidates are required to pay the sum of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only as registration charges for the screening exercise.
ii. Payment could be made online using a debit card (ATM card) or by printing the transaction slip for payment in any commercial bank in the country. Candidates need not travel to Zaria to make the payment.
Candidates are advised to check the ABU Brochure at https://portal.abu.edu.ng/forms/putme to ensure that their subject combinations are correct. Candidates with incorrect subject combinations may change to a more appropriate programme (course) on the JAMB portal.

copies of academic/basic documents, particularly, the JAMB results, ‘O’ Level (not more than 2 sittings) and/or ‘A’ Level certificates, Indigene Certificates, NIN, and Birth Certificates. In addition to the above, UTME candidates must input grades of 5 ‘O’ Level subjects relevant to the programme of study as provided on the Brochure in the space provided on the portal. Candidates are advised to provide accurate information as falsification/fabrication of results will lead to disqualification. However, candidates with awaiting ‘O’ Level results are enjoined to wait until the release of their results.
