The management of Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has officially released its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) Admission Screening Form for suitably qualified candidates seeking admission into the institution.
The university has invited candidates who selected Bayero University, Kano as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and those applying through Direct Entry to participate in the online screening exercise.
According to the university, the screening exercise will be conducted entirely online and will run from Friday, June 19, 2026, to Sunday, August 16, 2026. Interested candidates are advised to complete their registration before the deadline, as late applications will not be entertained.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the screening exercise, candidates must have selected Bayero University, Kano as their first-choice institution and obtained the minimum UTME score required for their chosen programme.
Candidates are also required to possess the relevant O’Level qualifications and ensure that their results have been uploaded to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). The university emphasized that candidates who fail to upload their O’Level results on CAPS may not be considered for admission.
Applicants are permitted to upload results from a maximum of two sittings.

Candidates are required to visit the university’s official admission portal and complete the online registration process.

Password: UTME Aggregate Score
Candidates are expected to carefully complete and update their personal information on the portal.
Step 2: Profile Update
After logging in, applicants should fill out the online screening form and verify all information before submission.
The university noted that the photograph uploaded through JAMB will serve as the candidate’s official identification throughout their academic journey at Bayero University, Kano.
Step 3: Payment of Screening Fee
Applicants are required to generate a Personalized Payment Invoice (PPI) containing a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR).
The screening fee is ₦2,000 only.

Most programmes under the Faculties of Agriculture, Arts and Islamic Studies, Education, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Earth & Environmental Sciences have a minimum cut-off mark of 160.
Architecture requires 190, while Veterinary Medicine requires 170.
Important Guidelines for Candidates
The university strongly advised candidates to ensure their O’Level results are uploaded on JAMB CAPS before the admission process progresses.
Candidates who provide false information or upload fraudulent documents will be automatically disqualified from the admission exercise.
Additionally, blind candidates and foreign applicants are exempted from any aptitude test but must complete the online screening registration.
Application Deadline
The online registration portal will remain open until Sunday, August 16, 2026.
Candidates who fail to register within the stipulated period will not be considered for admission into Bayero University, Kano for the 2026/2027 academic session.
