Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, has officially commenced registration for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise, inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for admission into its various undergraduate programmes.
According to the university, the screening exercise is open to candidates who selected EKSU as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored a minimum of 150. Candidates who did not initially choose EKSU but are willing to study at the institution are also eligible, provided they effect a change of institution to EKSU as their first choice through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
Direct Entry candidates who meet the university’s admission requirements are equally invited to participate in the screening exercise. The university also stated that successful candidates from its Pre-Degree and JUPEB programmes may apply, subject to Senate approval.
EKSU explained that the admission exercise will be conducted through an online screening process and that there will be no written Post-UTME examination. Candidates will instead be assessed based on their UTME scores, O’Level results, Direct Entry qualifications where applicable, and other relevant admission credentials submitted during registration.
While the general minimum UTME score for eligibility is 150, the university noted that some professional and highly competitive programmes have higher admission requirements. Applicants are therefore advised to confirm the specific cut-off mark applicable to their preferred course before completing their registration.
The institution urged prospective candidates to ensure that their O’Level results have been uploaded to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) and that all information supplied during registration is accurate and consistent with their JAMB records to avoid disqualification.
Eligible candidates are encouraged to complete their online registration through the official EKSU admission portal within the stipulated registration period and regularly monitor the university’s official channels for further updates on the 2026/2027 admission exercise.
