JAMB NOW ALLOWS CANDIDATES TO CHANGE LOST SIM NUMBERS & EMAILS
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new process allowing candidates to change their registered GSM number and/or email address if they have lost access to their previously registered SIM or email account.
The service commenced on Monday, September 21, 2026, and can only be accessed once by each candidate.
Candidates who want to use the service must have:
• A new GSM number and/or email address.
• A duly executed Court Affidavit, scanned and ready for upload.
The process must be completed at designated JAMB CBT (PTC/PRC) Centres, including applicable JAMB State Offices. Candidates are advised not to patronise unauthorised persons or channels.
HOW TO CHANGE YOUR JAMB SIM NUMBER OR EMAIL:
1. Log into JAMB e-Facility using your existing credentials, Registration Number or Profile Code.
2. Select “SIM Swap/eMail Change Payment” and pay the prescribed fee.
3. Proceed to a designated JAMB CBT Centre and access the SIM Swap/eMail Change Quicklink.
4. Enter your Profile Code or existing GSM number and select “Fetch Details.”
5. Complete your biometric verification.
6. Select the service required: GSM only, Email only, or Both.
7. Enter your new GSM number and/or email address and upload the scanned Court Affidavit.
8. Click “Update” to complete the process. A confirmation message will appear when successful.
JAMB says the service is subject to strict authentication measures and is available only once for each candidate.
