LAUTECH RELEASES TIMETABLE FOR 2025/26 STUDENTS’ UNION ELECTIONS

The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) has unveiled the official timetable for its 2025/2026 Students’ Union elections.

The election schedule, released by the Students’ Union Caretaker Committee, outlines key activities leading to the emergence of new executive officers at both the central and faculty levels.

According to the timetable, the collection of nomination forms for central executive positions will take place from Tuesday, June 16 to Thursday, June 18, 2026, between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., while the submission of completed forms is scheduled for Friday, June 19 to Tuesday, June 23, 2026, within the same time frame.

The committee disclosed that the list of eligible contestants will be published on Saturday, June 27, 2026, after the verification process.

As part of the election process, qualified candidates are expected to submit a three-minute electronic manifesto video (e-manifesto) on Monday, June 29, 2026, before participating in a meeting with eligible contestants slated for Monday, July 13, 2026.

Campaign activities will officially come to an end on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, when a campaign ban takes effect ahead of the polls.

The Students’ Union Government (SUG) election is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, while departmental and faculty elections will follow on Friday, July 17, 2026.

The committee also provided guidelines for obtaining nomination forms, stating that forms for central executive positions will be available through the Caretaker Committee at the Student Affairs Building, while faculty and departmental aspirants are expected to obtain theirs through the respective faculty caretaker committees.
