The National Examinations Council (NECO) has officially released the timetable for the 2026 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) External, popularly known as NECO GCE.
According to the timetable, the examination will commence on Wednesday, 4th November 2026, and conclude on Saturday, 21st November 2026. During the examination period, candidates will sit for various subjects, including English Language, General Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Government, Economics, Literature in English, Agricultural Science, Commerce, Civic Education, and several others.
NECO advised all candidates to carefully study the timetable, take note of their examination dates and venues, and ensure they arrive at their centres at least 30 minutes before the commencement of each paper.
The Council also reminded candidates that possession of electronic communication devices such as mobile phones, smart watches, tablets, programmable calculators, and similar gadgets inside the examination hall remains strictly prohibited.
Candidates are encouraged to make adequate preparations, adhere strictly to the examination guidelines, and verify any updates through official NECO communication channels.
