
Lagos Female Hostel Ready for Allocation in the 2026/2027 Academic Session
The Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Alex Akanmu, has announced that the Lagos Female Hostel will be ready for allocation to students in the 2026/2027 academic session.

During an inspection of the hostel’s facilities, Dr. Akanmu, accompanied by members of the university community, including the outgoing and incoming Presidents of the Students’ Union, expressed satisfaction with the level of preparedness and confirmed that the hostel is ready for occupancy.
The outgoing President of the Students’ Union, Mr. Adelu Idris, expressed his delight at the completion of the project. He commended the university management for fulfilling its promise and providing a modern, befitting hostel for female students, describing it as a significant milestone for the institution.
In his remarks, the incoming Students’ Union President, Mr. Mozeed, noted that the new hostel would provide much-needed accommodation and serve as a welcome alternative for female students.
The Lagos Female Hostel has the capacity to accommodate over 1,000 female students, marking a major step toward improving student welfare and expanding on-campus housing.
