Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, has commenced the Central Admissions Clearance Application (LACACA) exercise for newly admitted full-time undergraduate students for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The online clearance exercise officially began on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, and is expected to run for three weeks, with the exercise scheduled to close on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

The LACACA exercise is an important stage of the admission process. Newly admitted candidates are expected to complete the clearance successfully before they can be assigned their matriculation numbers and issued the LASU Admission Clearance Certificate.

REQUIREMENTS BEFORE CLEARANCE

Before commencing the LACACA process, newly admitted students are expected to have completed payment of the following:

  • Acceptance Fee
  • Medical Fee
  • LACACA Clearance Fee

Candidates are advised to ensure that their payments are properly reflected on the University portal before proceeding with the clearance application.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

During the online clearance process, candidates may be required to provide and upload relevant documents, including:

  • O’Level scratch card details
  • Original Birth Certificate
  • Original UTME Result
  • Original JAMB Admission Letter
  • Scanned signature
  • Other required biodata and admission information

Candidates are advised to ensure that all uploaded documents are genuine, clear, readable and consistent with the information on their JAMB and LASU records.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER SUBMISSION?

After submitting the LACACA application, the clearance status will initially reflect 20 per cent while the submitted documents undergo verification by the appropriate University officials.

Candidates are advised to monitor their portals regularly, as they may be required to provide additional information, make corrections or resubmit documents where necessary.

Candidates whose clearance is successfully completed up to 100% will be able to print their LASU Admission Clearance Certificate. A matriculation number will subsequently be assigned after the clearance process is completed.

Candidates whose applications are rejected should log into their portals to check the reason for the rejection and follow the instructions provided for correction and resubmission.

IMPORTANT ADVICE TO NEWLY ADMITTED STUDENTS

Newly admitted LASU students are advised not to wait until the deadline before commencing their clearance.

Candidates should also ensure that the information supplied during the clearance process is accurate and that their documents correspond with their official records.

The LACACA exercise is scheduled to close on September 2, 2026. Candidates who require clarification regarding the process may contact the appropriate LASU support channels or visit the Admission Office at the LASU Main Campus, Ojo.
