The Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has released a proposed academic calendar for the 2026/2027 academic session, outlining the schedule of academic activities for both the Harmattan and Rain semesters.
According to the proposed calendar, online registration and orientation for the Harmattan Semester are scheduled to run from Monday, September 28 to Saturday, October 17, 2026, while lectures are expected to commence on Monday, October 19, 2026.
For returning students, registration is scheduled to end on Sunday, October 18, with late registration running from October 19 to November 21, 2026. Registration for fresh students is expected to close on Friday, October 30, 2026.
The proposed calendar also schedules undergraduate matriculation for Thursday, December 3, 2026, while the first semester’s examinations are expected to hold from Monday, January 18 to Saturday, February 13, 2027, following the revision week scheduled for January 11–16.
The Harmattan Semester is expected to conclude with Senate approval and release of results on Thursday, March 11, 2027.
