The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved full accreditation status for twenty academic programmes at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), marking a significant milestone in the institution’s academic development and quality assurance efforts.
The approval was communicated in an official letter issued by the Director of Accreditation, Abraham Chundusu, on behalf of the NUC Executive Secretary. According to the correspondence, the accredited programmes cut across six faculties, demonstrating the university’s expanding academic capacity and adherence to national standards.
In a statement released by the Deputy Registrar, Information, Protocol and Public Relations of AAUA, it was emphasized that the accreditation reflects the institution’s commitment to delivering quality education and maintaining excellence in teaching, research, and service.
Reacting to the development, the Vice Chancellor, Olugbenga Ige, commended the NUC for its consistent efforts in upholding high standards in Nigerian universities. He reaffirmed the university’s dedication to sustaining academic excellence and continuous improvement across all its programmes.
