The National Universities Commission (NUC) has directed all universities in Nigeria to discontinue the Top-Up/HND Conversion programme. In its place, institutions are to adopt the following alternatives:
Regular Programme (Full-time)
Non-Regular Programme (Part-time, Sandwich, and Open Distance Learning)
Consequently, the term “Top-Up Conversion” is no longer recognized. The appropriate designation is now “Part-Time Degree.”
This directive takes immediate effect, and further directions and guidelines will be provided in due course.
