JAMB FLAGS 94 CANDIDATES OVER ALLEGED SOLICITATION IRREGULARITIES

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has identified a total of 94 candidates allegedly involved in solicitation-related infractions in the ongoing 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) process, raising fresh concerns about examination ethics and compliance.

The list, released in an official document titled “2026 List of Solicitation Candidates,” contains the registration numbers of affected individuals, signaling a targeted enforcement action by the Board against practices considered to undermine the integrity of the examination system.

While JAMB did not immediately disclose the specific nature of each infraction, the publication of the list suggests that the Board has concluded preliminary investigations and is moving toward disciplinary procedures. These measures are consistent with JAMB’s zero-tolerance stance on malpractice.

The affected candidates, identified solely by their registration numbers, now face potential sanctions which may include disqualification, cancellation of results, or further legal scrutiny, depending on the severity of their involvement.

As the examination season intensifies, candidates have once again been urged to adhere strictly to examination guidelines and avoid shortcuts that could jeopardize their academic future.
